MURREN, SWITZERLAND

There are so many different hikes to choose from on either side of the valley. On the first day we hiked the Flower Trail up about Murren and got some great sights. We stopped for a drink and heard some yodelers, even met some cows along the way. Definitely got some great views! Then climb the cable up to the Schilthorn for some epic views above the clouds… You can see for miles up there. Never seen anything like that in my life. Thanks Rick Steves lol

Lauterbrunnen Valley is one of the most beautiful places you can find on planet Earth. Overlooking the valley is the cool little town of Murren, which has some of the nicest people, best food I’ve ever had, and the most majestic sunsets ever. These mountains are what inspired J.R. Tolkien to come up with Rivendell when he wrote Lord of the Rings! Hmm, yeah I can see that…

The biggest reason this trip was so much fun was because of the group of people I was with. Each one of us connected over the course of the 14 days whether it be talking on the bus during our long rides, or hiking through Switzerland together. We all made it fun because we made sure each other was having a great time. Couldn’t have asked for a friendlier group to travel with.. :)

Don’t forget to stop by the Trummelbach Falls for an awesome tour of the water-falls slicing through the side of the mountain. And the Thrill Walk is another must if you want to conquer your fear of heights! It’s right off the Birg cable car station… The great thing about this tour is that we had time to do everything we wanted without feeling rushed around.
